The uniform cardioid polar pattern of the SM27 helps reduce the capture of stage bleed and background noise, allowing you to achieve more gain and stronger direct sound. In addition to the internal shock-mounting, the mic comes with a rubber-isolated shockmount to further decouple the mic from sources of vibration.
